Taking ahead the bilateral cooperation, India and German signed various deals across different sectors.

The External Affairs Ministry confirmed this stating that the two sides have inked 17 MoUs in agriculture, maritime technology, Ayurveda and yoga, among other areas.

Besides, they have also closed five joint declarations of intent for strategic partnerships in the areas of green urban mobility, Artificial Intelligence and prevention of marine litter, among others.

“We will be happy to engage in big infrastructure projects which India is envisaging,” said German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who is on a two-day bilateral visit to India.

The two sides have agreed for special cooperation in scientific and technological research and academic collaboration in yoga and meditation.

With regard to health sector, they have agreed upon for collaboration in addressing occupational diseases, along with rehabilitation and vocational training to insured persons and workers with disabilities.

In the marine sector, the two countries will be cooperating on inland, coastal and maritime technology.

Other Key agreements include cooperation:

  • In agricultural technical and professional training
  • Between the National Museum, the National Gallery of Modern Art and the Indian Museum in Kolkata
  • Between the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation and the Stiftung Humboldt Forum in Berliner Schloss
  • Between All India Football Federation (AIFF) and German Football Association
