IndianEra > Government > Row over Maha CM post Continues; Prez Rule Likely!

BJP and Shiv Sena – the brothers of the past!

Now, they are slowly moving towards becoming opposite sides looking at the current ambiguity around the #MaharashtraCMpost.

With the Governor’s deadline to Shiv Sena fast approaching, the Uddhav Thackeray’s party said BJP is ‘deriving sadistic pleasure’ by watching Maha political parties’ struggle to form the new government.

Uddhav’s comments came after the Maha Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had reportedly told the Centre that forming a stable government is impossible in the current situation.

Maharashtra Political Parties

While Shiva Sena’s efforts to bring together NCP and Congress did not work out as the latter said it will have to hold further discussions.

“If a party with 105 MLAs could not form government, others would struggle for sure. But it does not mean the largest party should rejoice. This attitude of deriving sadistic pleasure has pushed Maharashtra into today’s situation,” Shiv Sena said in a statement.

It argues that while the BJP was given 15 days’ time, Shiv Sena was given only 24 hours to take the decision.

“Despite having a clear idea that three parties (Sena, Congress and NCP) need to coordinate properly, the Raj Bhawan gave only 24 hours and on (their) failure (to muster numbers), the BJP was seen rejoicing, it is not a good sign,” Shiv Sena argues.

It also alleged that BJP’s decision to sit in opposition is not a strategy and is more of a conspiracy.

In return, the Governor has reportedly imposed President’s rule in the state on November 12, 2019, after sending a report to the Center, PTI said in a statement.

Will have to see what major turn this ‘war of words’ will take the state to!
