In another biggest single-day jump, India reported 9,023 Covid-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours.

With this, the number of Covid-19 positive cases has touched 2,17,514, with Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu being the top worst-hit states.

Delhi also saw the biggest single-day spike in the last 24 hours.

The number of deaths due to Covid-19 also increased touching the 6,091 mark, as of June 04, 2020.

The number of active cases increased to 107,284, and around 1 lakh people recovered/discharged so far.

The total positive cases in Maharashtra rose to 74,860, and 2,587 people died of the virus.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu also crossed 25,000 mark for positive cases, with 1,286 new cases in the last 24 hours. With this, TN emerged as the second state after Maharashtra for that mark.

The Delhi Government launched an app called ‘Delhi Corona’, helping the public to check hospital-wise bed capacity and ventilators dedicated to COVID-19 patients.

Meanwhile, the government reported a rise in the number of tests to 40 lakh as of June 03, 2020.

According to the Health Ministry, a total of 41,03,233 patients have been tested so far, and 1,37,158 tests in the last 24 hours.
