Covid-19 India scenario is taking a dramatic turn in India, with cases rising at a rapid pace.

It took 48 days for the nation to report its first 1,000 COVID-19 deaths. Now, the scenario has changed with the same happening once every four days.

The Health Ministry said in the latest statement, highlighting the COVID-19 spread in the country.

While it took 87 days to report the first 25,000 cases, the same is now happening once every two days.

Within six weeks only, the country’s COVID-19 positive cases toll crossed the 2-lakh mark, currently at 2,27,376.

Looking at these numbers, it’s clear that the country won’t take much time even to touch the 3-lakh mark, which sources expect to happen in just a couple of weeks.

Amid this scenario, the Center is gradually lifting the lockdown measures and allowing public places to restart their businesses.

Lifting the Lockdown

The ‘Unlock-1 phase’ is scheduled to be effective from June 08, 2020, with detailed guidelines to all operating offices, temples, and public places.

Meanwhile, experts warn that easing lockdown restrictions would add to the rise of infections further. While the governments are faced with the economic challenges caused by the continued lockdown.
