During the all-party meeting with the state representatives, Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed that the coronavirus vaccine could be ready in India within a few weeks, and the vaccination would begin once the scientists approve it.

He said that the pricing of the COVID-19 vaccine, distribution, and storage logistics are being discussed with the states.

“With the help from state governments, other needed cold chain storages and logistical support are being measured. Special software has also been developed for vaccine stock and real-time information,” said PM Modi.

As the breakthrough Pfizer’s coronavirus vaccine needs to be stored at minus 70 degrees Celsius, PM Modi instructed the state governments to start arranging the cold storage facilities.

The Indian PM said, “The teams of the Central and the state governments are working together for vaccine distribution. India has the expertise and capacity in vaccine distribution and fares better compared to other nations. We have a vast and experienced network in the field of vaccination.
