Here are some of the best animated movies of 2019 you shouldn’t miss:
1) Toy Story 4
Toy Story hit the theatres on June 11, 2019. Produced by Pixar Animated Studios for Walt Disney Pictures, this animated movie is another entertainer from American animator Josh Cooley.
This 100-minute movie moves around the plot set in the events after Toy Story 2 and before Toy Story 3. The film features Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Annie Potts in lead roles.
2) The Secret Life of Pets 2
This is another animation flick that hit the screens in 2019. Directed by Chris Renaud and Written by Brian Lynch, this animation is a sequel to the Secret Life of Pets 1 and has the main plot running around the events after the first part. The movie portrays the creative and adventurous behavior of pets after owners leave home and go out.
It has Patton Oswalt, the new dog that manages to deal with the new baby in the household. More such eye-catchy aspects are part of The Secret Life of Pets 2.
3) This Magnificent Cake!
This Magnificent Cake flick is a stop-motion film that explores the Belgian colonialism. The movie is directed by Mar James Roels and Emma de Swaef and runs at the length of 44 minutes.
With little animation effects, the film mostly has characters with cloth faces and variations portrayed in their eyes as light is shed on them.
4) Detective Pikachu
This is an urban fantasy mystery film directed by Rob Letterman, and produced by Legendary Pictures and The Pokemon Company. This film hit theatres on May 03, 2019 in Japan and later on May 10, 2019 in the United States.
Warner Brothers held the rights for the world-wide distribution o this movie.
Made at a budget of USD 150 million, the film garnered USD 431.6 million in box office collection.
5) The Lego Movie 2
Produced by Warner Animations and Lego Systems A/S, and directed by Mike Mitchell, The Lego Movie 2 is a 107-minute movie that first hit theatres on February 7-8, 2019. The movie is well-acclaimed for its humor and animation aspects.
Made at a budget of USD 99 million, the film collected USD 191 million as box office earnings.
6) How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
This is a fantasy film based on the book with the same name. Produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Universal Pictures, this animation film portrays the way a boy trains his dragon making it perfect in all ways to fly around with freedom.
The film hit the theatres in the US on February 22, 2019. With the duration of 104 minutes, the film stood a box-office hit by collecting a 5-time profit of USD 519 million on his actual budget USD 129 million.
7) Batman Hush
This is the DC Comics featuring the superhero Batman. This is the 13th one from the DC Animated Movie Universe and 35th film from the DC Universe Animated Original Movies. This movie moves around the plot of Batman facing a new threat named Hush, who knows all the former’s secrets.
Directed by Justin Copeland, this movie hit theatres on July 20, 2019 in Digital format and further on August 06, 2019 in 4K Ultra HD, Blu Ray and DVD formats. The movie run-time is 81 minutes.
