IndianEra > Government > #Article370: India Deports British MP, ‘Pak Proxy’ Says RS Member

The Indian Government is observing every movement pertaining to its decision on Kashmir #Article370.

Here comes an important update on that note!

In its latest move, British Labor MP and Kashmiri rights campaigner Debbie Abrahams was denied entry into the country and deported to Dubai.

Abrahams also heads the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Kashmir.

Immigration officials at the Delhi Indira Gandhi Airport have reportedly denied a standard e-visa to her on February 17, 2020.

“I’m prepared to let the fact that I’ve been treated like a criminal go, and I hope they will let me visit my family and friends. An official took my passport and disappeared for about 10 minutes. When he came back, he was very rude and shouted at me to come with him,” Abrahams said in a statement.

Senior leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi welcomes the government’s decision stating that the move was necessary as the British MP is a ‘Pakistani proxy’.

Debbie Abrahams Was Denied Entry Into The Country

“The deportation of Debbie Abrahams by India was indeed necessary, as she is not just an MP, but a Pak proxy known for her clasp with Pak Govt and ISI. Every attempt that tries to attack India’s sovereignty must be thwarted,” Singhvi tweeted.

According to the government sources, Abrahams doesn’t hold a visa to visit India and the e-visa she has is permitted only for tourism purposes.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Shashi Tharoor found fault with the government’s move stating the government was scared of ‘scared of critics’.

“If things are fine in #Kashmir, shouldn’t the Govt encourage critics to witness the situation themselves to put their fears to rest? Instead of conducting tours for pliant MEPs &polite Ambassadors alone, surely the head of a ParliamentaryGroup on the subject is worth cultivating?” said Tharoor said in a statement.
