IndianEra > Coronavirus > Covid-19: New Delhi Gears Up Measures for Lockdown 4.0

All the tickets booked for travel on or before June 30, 2020, have been canceled.

The Delhi Government said this amid discussions around a fresh round of relaxations in view of the Lockdown 3.0, i.e., ending on May 17, 2020.

However, the trains carrying migrant workers will continue as per the schedule, it added.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said they are also having discussions on further relaxations to be implemented from May 18, 2020.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister has already announced the possibility of Lockdown 4.0 as the third phase ends.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Government conducted a public survey with around 5 lakh people.

And, majority of survey respondents called for the continued shutdown of malls, swimming pools and educational institutions to contain the virus spread.

As the sources say, the Lockdown 4.0 is likely to offer more relaxations to economic activity, especially the manufacturing activity, across specific domestic routes.

With color-coding of districts by red, orange and green zones continuing, workplaces and business operations in non-containment zones will see some relaxation.

“So basically, unless prohibited expressly in red and yellow zones by the new MHA guidelines, all activities can resume in areas outside of containment zones,” says an official.

In another shocking update, more than 1,000 police personnel tested Corona positive in the state of Maharashtra.

Another update from the state shows that the Mumbai Police collected Rs. 9 crores in challan fines from the lockdown violators since March 2020 between March 20-May 13, 2020.
