Here is an interesting update about the COVID-19 vaccine!
India and the US are reportedly working together on evaluating Ayurvedic formulations against COVID-19.
The Indian envoy to US Taranjit Singh Sadhu informed this in a statement.
According to Singh, Indian Ayurvedic practitioners and scientists, and the US officials are initiating joint clinical trials for these formulations.
Singh participated in a virtual meeting that also had a group of eminent Indian-American scientists, academicians and doctors.
“Our Institutions have also been collaborating to promote Ayurveda through joint research, teaching and training programs. The Ayurvedic practitioners and researchers in both the countries are planning to initiate joint clinical trials of Ayurvedic formulations against COVID-19,” reads Singh’s statement.
He further informed that the two sides are exchanging knowledge and research resources towards this end.

The Indo-US Science Technology Forum (IUSSTF) also called for joint research and start-up engagement.
Singh added that the Indian vaccine companies are currently working with US institutions for at least three vaccine development projects.
This research will not only help the two countries but also favors millions across the world waiting for the COVID-19 vaccine, the envoy added.
“Telemedicine and telehealth will evolve as will other digital platforms across sectors,” says Singh.
Singh further explains that there are currently 200 NIH-funded projects in India under the joint efforts of 20 NIH institutions and many renowned Indian institutions.
