IndianEra > Business > Union Budget 2020-21: PM To Hold Meeting With Top Economists!

Seems the preparations for the Union Budget 2020-21 are on full swing.

With the budget due for announcement on February 01, 2020, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to hold special meetings with the internal experts.

While the budget date is yet to be confirmed, the PM is most likely to meet the country’s top economists from Niti Ayog later this week.

In line with Niti Ayog’s annual practice before the budget, the PM had held meeting with 40 economists in June 2019.

Modi also welcomed public recommendations and suggestions on the Union Budget.

The meeting is definitely crucial not just because of the budget, it’s also because of the country’s weak economic situation as a result of global slowdown.

In line with this, the Prime Minister had also met the country’s top business leaders on January 07, 2020 and urged to find out ways to achieve economic recovery and spur jobs.
