The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has received the limit for H1-B visas for the FY 2021.

As the reports say, requests from various corporations and businesses for H1-B visas have already reached the 65,000-cap set by the US Congress.

USCIS further informed that it has randomly selected applications from the list of registrations made through set procedures.

With the fiscal due to begin on October 01, 2020, the department said it will notify the finalized applicants and companies, by March 31, 2020, about their eligibility to file H1B cap subject petition.

After that, the successful registrants should submit their H-1B applications by June 30, 2020.

“USCIS has received enough electronic registrations during the initial period to reach FY 2020-21 H-1B numerical allocations (H-1B cap). We randomly selected from among the registrations properly submitted. We intend to notify petitioners with selected registrations no later than March 31, 2020, that they are eligible to file an H-1B cap-subject petition for the beneficiary named in the applicable selected registration,” the federal agency said in a statement.
