IndianEra > Government > PoK PM Urges Pakistan To ‘Attack’ India

Intensifying war of words between India and Pakistan, the Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) PM urged Pakistan to attack India.

Raja Farooq Haider, known for his controversial remarks, said this after visiting villages in the Line of Control (LoC) in view of the Covid-19 outbreak.

“It is our duty to protect our brothers and sisters. India is giving weather reports on PoK, we should start updating on Delhi,” Farooq urged Imran Khan, calling for an attack.

His statements are coming after the Indian Meteorological Department featured weather reports of areas under the PoK and Gilgit Baltistan regions.

Hitting at Pakistan Government’s strategy towards India, Farooq said this way, Kashmir won’t get independence and can’t be integrated in Pakistan even in the coming 700 years.

Earlier today, Radio Pakistan faced extensive criticism from Indian Twitter users after its tweet on temperature conditions in Ladakh.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s decision to hold elections in the region is facing stiff opposition from politicians and human rights activists in the Gilgit-Baltistan and PoK regions.

Calling that illegal and unconstitutional, they urged the people to boycott the upcoming elections.

“Under the present circumstances, there can be no free and fair elections in Pakistani occupied Gilgit-Baltistan. Unless the colonial order Schedule 4 and Anti-Terrorism Act are abolished, and our political prisoners are released, the people of Gilgit Baltistan should boycott any such activity that is sponsored by Pakistan,” opines Amjad Ayub Mirza, a rights activist from Mirpur of Pakistan Occupied Jammu Kashmir (PoJK).

Meanwhile, the Indian External Affairs Ministry reiterated that PoK is an integral part of India “by virtue of its fully legal and irrevocable accession.”

“India completely rejects such actions and continued attempts to bring material changes in Pakistan occupied areas of the Indian territory of Jammu & Kashmir. Instead, Pakistan should immediately vacate all areas under its illegal occupation,” the Indian External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
