On Thursday, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) shared stellar pictures of Mars, which is also known as the Red Planet, on twitter.

Captured by NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, these color pictures are high resolution, detailed and capture the landscape in its natural beauty.

While sharing Mars’ pictures, NASA tweeted, “Beautiful Mars! Our Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter launched 15 years ago to study the Red Planet’s atmosphere, weather, subsurface water, and more. But the mission might best be known for the images sent by its @HiRISE.”
