Here is a refreshing news from the Indian Embassy in US

In a latest decision, the Indian Embassy said it will be offering free yoga classes’ online for millions of Americans during weekdays from Monday to Friday at 5PM, starting March 30, 2020.

Through this move, the Embassy intends to make the self-quarantine time more productive for American citizens and keep them ‘healthy’ and ‘cheerful’. 

“We are happy to announce the online #Yoga classes during weekdays @ 5 PM EST, starting from Monday, 30 March 2020. The classes will be live streamed through the Embassy ’s Facebook page https://facebook.com/indiainusa . Please join in. @MEAIndia @IndianDiplomacy @SandhuTaranjitS,” the Indian Embassy in US said on Twitter. 

The free online yoga session will be streamed live on the Embassy’s official Facebook page. 

“A good initiative by the Embassy to keep healthy and cheerful while working from home,” says Taranjit Singh Sandhu, India’s Ambassador to the US. 

This decision by the Indian Embassy is coming days after the Harvard University recommended yoga, meditation and anxiety to control the novel Coronavirus. 

Moxraj, the teacher of Indian culture at the Indian Embassy, will be undertaking the yoga classes. 

 “Regular meditation is very calming. Many apps teach simple forms of meditation, such as Headspace or Calm. Not a yoga person? No need to start now unless you’d like to try it. Sometimes trying new things and discovering new activities you can benefit from and enjoy can be a welcome, healthy distraction. Yoga Studio and Pocket Yoga are good apps to consider,” says wrote John Sharp, a board-certified psychiatrist at Harvard Medical School. 

This announcement is definitely a refreshment to Americans amid the horrifying incidents of CoronavirusThe US has recorded the highest number of Coronavirus infections in the world till date, with over 85,500 cases.
