IndianEra > Coronavirus > Covid-19 India: 50,000 Positive Cases Likely in 8 Days!

India’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak drew wide attention across the globe.

Despite high density population, the Indian Government has been progressing in containing the outbreak to the possible extent.

To the latest, the country has reportedly shown some improvement in its COVID-19 recovery rate, giving a ray of hope for its citizens.

But what’s surprising is the ‘rising positive cases despite the slowing trajectory’.

According to the Health Ministry data last evening, the number of positive cases has increased by 15 percent in the last two days to touch 26,917.

Surprisingly, the rate of rise was similar in the previous 48 hours too with 20,147 cases.

The total number of cases in India has almost doubled in the past 10 days period.

Notably, the current rate is much lesser compared to the early April trends that saw two-fold rise for every four days.

Even deaths are also showing similar trend, compared to the early April numbers.

The deaths due to coronavirus have also almost doubled in the last eleven days.

At the current rate of compounded growth, the number of cases is most likely to touch 50,000 in the next eight days.

The country has totally around 20,1777 active cases as of April 26, 2020 and state-wide distribution of cases is likely to change over the coming days.
